Big Blue Heron


I painted the Blue Heron last May.  I added a more colorful background to it.  What a difference that made. The yellow is the compliment of the purple blue of the bird.

    The yellow really sets it off! I also like the way his legs appear to cross bringing your eyes up to the heron. Love all that negative painting, too!.
