Golden Sand
The sand on Fort Myers Beach is really white. But I always add yellow, blue and a red and let the three colors mingle, so my sand is always a different color. Again I added rocks but we don't even have rocks. Just feet prints.

Yellow Unbrella
I am thinking of Art on the Boulevard. It is a one day show on Sunday, Nov. 17th. It is held at a local real estate office. The owner, Judy, likes to see beach scenes.

Batik Egret
Adding happy color in with the foliage, adds interest to the painting. I try not to put too much green in my paintings.

Fort Myers Beach Cottage
This batik was found in my to do pile. The painting was finished and the coat of wax had been applied. All I had to do was crinkle it up, add a dark paint and iron the wax off between absorbant paper towels and newprint. Then rip the edge and glue the painting on a backing and mat it. That's all.

Batik Tulips
This summer I have started paintings and never finished them. Since the shows are to begin, I pulled out a pile of paintings to complete and mat and frame. This is one of them. Batik is a lot of work, but I am always so happy with the results.

Umbrella with Books
What could be nicer than sitting under an umbrella at the beach reading a book.
