Quilting and Painting

I cut the 97 inch piece into four 6.25 lengths.  They will go around the edge.  What was left I cut into 3 inch lengths.  They will go in the center.  I may have to piece them but I will try to piece them at the intersections.

This morning I did a demo. Another snow scene.

Spring Preview

I think a big animal has been peeking through my window.  In the dirt outside
my room was big footprints. Maybe a deer.
Then while I was walking in the soccer field, a big black hawk soared overhead.
I also saw geese. Spring is here in Kentucky.

Cloudy Tuesday

I have been painting and sewing my quilt. I now have two commissions for portraits. It is a good challenge.  
Last night I went to a demo on Landscape Collage at Preston Art. While I was there I bought three bottles of Alcohol Inks.  I found a piece of Yupo to use.  

Sunday Demo

Before I went to bed last night, I drew and masked a forest scene. So this morning at 9:30AM, I painted it with two of my students watching.   The tree was painted with quinacridone coral and quinacridone gold.

Super Saturday

I worked on my Five Musicians again today. I found a great photo I took years ago when I visited my son Ed and family in Washington. We went to a kite festival.  So I added some kites to the painting.

Then I designed a small 4 x 5 painting using watercolor paint, watercolor pencils and pen.

Friday Fun

I hope to finish the new painting “Five Musicians”. I have not finished it but it is coming along great

Several of us started our Ukrainian Eggs. We drew on the eggs with pencil any design we chose Then we applied bee’s wax using a special electric tool.  Next week we will color them using special dyes. 

Thursday Activities

Dentist appointment. Dog parade.
