Super Saturday

I worked on my Five Musicians again today. I found a great photo I took years ago when I visited my son Ed and family in Washington. We went to a kite festival.  So I added some kites to the painting.

Then I designed a small 4 x 5 painting using watercolor paint, watercolor pencils and pen.

Friday Fun

I hope to finish the new painting “Five Musicians”. I have not finished it but it is coming along great

Several of us started our Ukrainian Eggs. We drew on the eggs with pencil any design we chose Then we applied bee’s wax using a special electric tool.  Next week we will color them using special dyes. 

Thursday Activities

Dentist appointment. Dog parade.

Watercolor Class

This is what my watercolor students painted today. I am so excited that they are doing so well. 

Paste Paper

Today I took a break from my watercolor painting and played with Paste Paper. You apply a coat of a mixture of glue and acrylic paint on a sheet of paper.  Then draw designs with scraping tools. It was a wonderful sunny day. The trees were covered with snow. Outside on the top of a big pat were at least fifty black birds staring at me through my big windows.

Cityscape

My daughter bought me a beautiful long thin frame. I painted “Cityscape” to fit in it.

Oxmoor Watercolor Class

I have been teaching a watercolor class to real beginners. I give a watercolor demo once a week.

This is my completed painting.  I finished it in one hour.
